The number of anime-planet users watching this show is less than a third of the amount watching Dagashi Kashi which was mentioned by StriderShinryu earlier in this thread. It's also worth noting that, as a way to measure relative success as an advertisement, we can look at the number of people watching the show. I've certainly seen shows get worse than 2.37, but I would still call it a bad rating, and it definitely can't be called a good rating. For example, Luck & Logic and Undefeated Bahamut Chronicle, both of which are shows airing this season that I would consider to be par for the course so to speak, currently have ratings of 3.09 and 3.29 respectively. What I can say, however, is that I tend to keep a pretty close eye on anime-planet ratings, and the average mark does tend to skew toward 3/5. I don't know if that's because of a difference in the number of shows in MAL's database or how they calculate the average or because the users skew toward higher ratings or some other reason I haven't thought of. The MAL rating seems to be significantly better, but its ranking is mysteriously much worse. I mentioned Itsuki as a joke suggesting that he's simply pretending to be ignorant so he can provoke the other characters into providing tidbits of information to the viewers of this show.Īs for what ratings I'm looking at, I would personally prefer anime-planet and MAL over reviews simply because of the larger sample size. This point was, admittedly, not properly conveyed in my previous post, mainly because I assumed it would simply be ignored again.
However, Kintor has been pointedly pretending like he never heard me say anything of the sort and continues to praise this show on how objectively enjoyable it is and how successful it has been as a promotion and advertisement for the game. My point was that I had already pointed out multiple times how poorly this show has been doing based on both ratings and reactions.
